One of the pleasures of travelling is discovering great places to eat. La Isla is a short walk from where we are staying, down a palm tree lined boulevard. The restaurant is unlike anything at home, with open sides and a palm thatched roof. The lady who does all the cooking opened it as a taco stand years ago and has gradually built it into a thriving business open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We dined on tortilla chips with pico de gallo and guacamole, delicious tortilla soup with large chunks of avocado, and enchiladas, tacos and shrimp fajitas. We are still full, but eagerly anticipating our next visit. Will it be for breakfast, lunch or dinner?
